Evita: The Life of Eva Perón

La Madeleine's on Mockingbird
Thursdays, September 8, 15, 22
7:30-9:00 p.m.

These slide illustrated lectures will examine the amazing life of  Eva Perón from her aspirations for a career in the entertainment industry to her role as first lady of Argentina as the wife of Juan Perón. We'll study both her personal life, and the causes that she came to embrace for the working classes. Often affectionately known as Evita, she came to exert tremendous political influence until her untimely death at the age of thirty three. It is said that she is still engrained in the consciousness of Argentina. She has certainly captured the imagination of the public.
