A native Dallasite, Dr. Martha Anne Fielder received her B.B.A. and M.A. from Southern Methodist University, and her Ph.D. from Texas Christian University where she also taught. Dr. Fielder holds a Texas teacher's certificate in secondary history and political science as well as additional certifications to teach K-12. She has presented papers at professional conferences and published book reviews on English art in the British history journal Albion. In addition to teaching both art history and history classes, she has lectured at the Dallas Museum of Art; the Biblical Arts Center; First Presbyterian Church; Highland Park Presbyterian Church; the Chautaugua Preservation Society for the arts in Waxahachie; on the Barnes Collection at the Kimbell Art Museum to the Friends of the Highland Park Library; presented a series on The Life & Mid-life Crisis of Henry VIII and His Six Wives at the Dallas Woman’s Club; and was the featured speaker at St. Matthew’s Cathedral 2003 Queen Mother’s Tea with a presentation on“Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.”

Dr. Fielder founded www.MarcoArtTours.com in 2000 to provide art and historical tours. A seasoned traveler, Dr. Fielder has conducted Great Museums of London tours, a Great Museums of Paris & the Ile-de-France tour; and Paris & World War II in Normandy tours. Additionally, she has led tours of the Monet show at the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art, Las Vegas; In Pursuit of Pleasure, at the Guggenheim Museum, Las Vegas; and Van Gogh to Mondrian at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. Closer to home, she has conducted guided lecture tours of the landmark Impressionist exhibition from the Phillips Collection, Washington, D.C. at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston; Masterworks from the Musee d’Orsay, Paris (MFAH); and Masterpieces of French Painting from the Metropolitan Museum of Art: 1800-1920 (MFAH 2007). At the Dallas Museum of Art, Dr. Fielder has presented lecture tours of: Renoir & Algeria; Tiffany (2006); Van Gogh's Sheaves of Wheat (2006-07); From the Ashes of Vesuvius (2007); and many more. At the Nasher Sculpture Center she led a tour of Matisse: Painter as Sculptor (2007). At the Kimbell Art Museum, Fort Worth, she gave tours to Masterpiece from the Permanent Collection (summer 2006). Additionally, she has led many guided tours at the Meadows Museum at S.M.U., including: the Permanent Collection; Cranach to Monet; Weaving the Legend of Don Quijote: 18th Century Tapestries at the Royal Court of Spain; Fortuny to Picasso; Juan van der Hamen; Greek Vase Painting: Form, Figure and Narrative, and several other exhibits. In Nov. 2008, Dr. Fielder conducted a guided lecture tour of the King Tut exhibit at the Dallas Museum of Art for a private event hosted by Haynes & Boone, LLP honoring Ambassador Frances Cook. During spring break 2010, Dr. Fielder served as one of the group leaders for the Ursuline Academy, Dallas, Theatre & the Arts Tour of London.
